Now I’m torn. Do I get a LaRue mount/rings for it or just keep it basic? I doubt I’m doing a muzzle brake as I can’t find anything stainless that I like.

Honestly for rings I think the best bang for the buck are the vortex precision rings they are designed and manufactured by seekins precision

A lot of people look down on Savage, and they do it without knowing much of anything about them.

I have a couple of Savage rifles and I think that they deliver the most value for your dollar. They are also very accurate right out of the box.

Savage, the LRP needs little modification. The trigger is great. If it does not shoot, send it back. If you burn the barrel, replace it in your garage.

Got a neighbor that is also a hunter. Says if he buys any new guns they will be Savage.
