I seem to remember from the old forum that there was 1 ESEE Hidden tube that was never claimed.... I want to say that it had gotten dropped in somewhere far off like Bosnia or somewhere similar?? Does anyone else remember this? I think it was maybe @Expat that had dropped it??
There was one I hid in Romania. A forum member went to the exact spot and took pictures. Someone apparently stumbled over it and took it. But never reported it to ESEE. It wasn’t too far from Castle Braun, where the original Dracula was. I also hid one in the bush in Panama but I doubt anyone will ever find that one.
Cool i thought it was Bosnia for some reason atleast i right about in the right part of the world ! Never Mind everyone! Fun cancelled....
No one ever found mine either. I would like to see the tubes return, that was fun! A friend and I spent most of a day looking for the one in Utah with no luck, but we had a great time.
It would be fun to get them back. Even if there was a smaller prize in it than a knife. What do you think @Jeff Randall ?
There MAY be something in the works already on this. The problem is lawyers. And laws. I'll let @Jeff Randall expand on that...
So , your are saying that all of the thousands of geocache locations do not have to fallow lawyers and laws? I do understand about littering laws on public land and that this can and will be consider littering in the eyes of the law. Just curious , I am not trying to start anything . I would be just has happy looking for a ESEE fire starting kit, if giving away a knife is a no no. Which I can understand in todays environment.
No I’m not saying that. I can’t expand more on it without giving some things away. It will make sense down the road .
If it can be found by falling down a hill I'm your man. It's what I specialized in while down there. Climb up muddy hill. Fall down muddy hill. Climb back up muddy hill. Walk to next muddy hill. Repeat.
I do believe it was in a foreign location. It was certainly nice having the opportunity to place one out and turn it into a orienteering course for the two that finally managed to locate the one here in Kansas.
I seem to recall one being in Canada that a member went looking for twice.... I wish I could remember who it was
