Niceeee!! See, I think Condor blades would really benefit from thinner grinds.
Their stuff is just too bulky.

How does it feel? You think it was a good idea as far as practicality goes?

As somebody who considers the single most misused aspect of knifemaking in the industry to be the grind, I have to say that 42 does a great service to knife community with this single feature (he also thins the bevel on Condor knives - something Condor knives need).
This tendency to make "plus-sized" knives to appease mall ninjas, Rambo wannabees, and people who'd rather have a sharpened crowbar than learn how to utilize a blade correctly is, in my opinion, selling out to the market rather than developing knife culture. Can you imagine how much better Tops Knives would be if they stopped making "tactical two-by-fours"?
There are 2 guys whose advise on machetes I pay very close attention to: @FortyTwoBlades and Joe Flowers (not when he's promoting for Condor, but when he's speaking as Joe Flowers). I'm sure there are others, but these two are my go-to. There is a reason why Jeff Randall considers machete to be the most versatile survival tool - it works.

P.S. I'm drinking again today. I stay sober 5 days of the week, and by weekend, my tolerance is so shot, I become chattier than my ex. All it takes is two tallboys of Heineken....still, as the Russian saying goes, "What's on sober man's heart is on the drunk man's tongue," so I'm not BS-ing y'all. Just speaking my mind.

Just got a notification that my Jungolo shipped. Quick question: did it ship to the address I put on the order form (Arlington, TX) or the one PayPal shows (Dallas, TX)?

Looks like the label auto-populated from the Dallas address. I'll void the label and print another. Might want to fix that, though. :)

Thanks, man. Yeah, the Dallas address is my home address, but i don't trust people in my neighborhood, so I try to ship everything to my work.

Machete -- most used cutting implement on my farm. Never am I without one.

love thin machetes....have the Esee machete (and sold off a tramontina and another Tram years ago). But up here you gotta be careful chopping with them........no thin grass or reeds, or small brush.....all big timber. Thats why we like our 1/4" choppers and axes and chainsaws so much.

P'shaw, dude. Don't need 1/4" thick steel for chopping wood. The Baryonyx Machete is only 2.2mm thick and it'll take a deer head off in one swing and go through a 3.5" diameter birch in 42 seconds. :p

Got the blade, good work, 42!! I'll mod the handle a little bit as I do on pretty much all my knives. The thing chops like a champ, and after I'm done with the handle, I'll see how it handles finer tasks. But so far, it's a beast.

Thats a cool looking knife. I just wish they came up with a better name.
Jungolo sounds like the official knife of Insane Clown Posse lol
