Just pick what one you like the look of the most. There is no right answer, just what work best for you.

Thanks man. I'm looking for something around 3"- 3.5" since I already have the ESSE 5 for bigger stuff. Thanks again for the reply!

My JG3 has replaced every Esee fixed blade smaller then the Esee 6. It’s perfect, except for the lack of factory kydex.

I was getting a JG3 before I got my PR4, they do feel great in the hand.

I will have to agree, this one was never on my radar until I used one at buscraft and now it’s the next in line.

Stop putting yourself through this! Buy both! Wear both if you have to. At the very least you have a great went to $××t plan.

The 3HM is one of the most comfortable stock ESEE's that I've handled. Didn't like the JG3 at all. Never understood the appeal of that sort of handle. Just feels goofy to me.

JG3 has a great blade shape for an all around knife. I think you will be very satisfied once you have one in hand and put it to use.

I'll echo that it needs factory kydex.

I'll be evil and say Becker BK14. ;) Of the two choices I would grab the 3,but that's because the handle size fits my hand well.

Maybe the RB3 would fit the bill, or at least be a contender in the mix.

The Scandi grind makes it pretty versatile for small tasks, carving and crafting. For me, the beefier scales on the RB3 would fit better than the JG3.

Yes I was going to suggest the RB3, I got to handle one a while back and it was possibly the most comfortable handle I’ve ever played with, very impressive.
