So there’s already a thread on Zippos but it’s complete eyeball cancer with the broken pic links and all. Besides, I require assistance in selecting a new on. Which of the brass look best with age, polished or brushed? Any pics whatsoever are appreciated, especially the older ones. Show me what you got!

i find the polished brass ones tarnish the best. The brushed not so much. Polished brass on left, copper on right, both dipped in Casey Black solution and dried and hand rubbed with a cloth.

I'd definitely go with the polished brass. I got one a while back and its getting a great natural patina. The one I went with was the Armor version which has satisfying "heft" to it. Let us know what you decide!

Is that solid copper? I have one like it, but I think it's only plated or "finished" with copper.

Already went with the brushed brass one and waiting for delivery now. I did get the Armor one so at least we’re on the same page there. Let’s see yours!

Yep, that’s pretty much what I was wanting. Great looking lighter! Time will show how the brushed brass compares.

    What IW17 said...

It's no Spydie hole but it works pretty good.

Thanks! I suspect the brushed brass will patina nicely with time and use. Its just that the high polish shows every fingerprint and blemish so you notice it faster.

Love that Doghead. Always wanted to grab one and never did. What do you think of it?

Great slicer, and well made. It's a little large for pocket carry, and my 110 sheaths are a bit too big. I like the lanyard hole, something I wish buck would address on the 110s. Currently, I carry it in my back pocket, along side of my wallet, with the lanyard protruding. I may try a thumb stud on this one.
