At 10pm every night for the last week I've been feeding or changing diapers for one of the two most gorgeous girls in my life. Sleeping has become a thing of daydreams, but I wouldn't trade the sleeplessness for anything in the world. Life is good and finally complete!
She was 6lbs 3oz at her last pedestrian appointment. Born right at 7lbs, she had to be taken by c-section at 37 weeks because my wife had a placenta issue where it was blocking the way out for natural birth. I'm a rough one to scale her against 6'1" 250lbs.
Thanks bud! It's been funny realizing how we've been missing something in life we weren't aware of until she arrived.
Wow, @The Marsh Gorilla (we need to call you TMG to save key strokes , what a beautiful baby. (And trust me, I don't say that if it's not true -- and that's gotten me in trouble a few times ). She looks so serene there with dad. I'm delighted for you and your wife. May she grow up strong and wise. (She's got a good start with you for dad; don't know you other than here, but here says a lot.) _______ 1818 hours. Still in the studio (another long ass day, now days past when I thought I'd be finished with this). Just took a break to get the daily drama from a friend/neighbor downstairs (you can't even imagine what's happening here; I describe it as Peyton Place hybridizes with One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest). Dinner and aperitif is next, then more vid editing before I stop for the night, and watch another episode of The Last Kingdom. (I'm rewatching for the second time, sorting out the story line better, recognizing characters now and relating it to the history (which is different but overlapping.) @Reno Lewis, I can't remember: did we talk about this film? Have you watched it? Not as good as Vikings, but still worth watching, especially as Season 2 develops and the actors find their characters. Will probably drop back to the forum later, before bed ... er hammock, but that is happening early sometimes for me these days. Trying to start my days super early to max daylight -- not so hard after spring equinox, but the long nights/darkness up here in winter can weigh your spirit down after a few months.
Very happy for you! There are many things you can do in life but the best one is to be a good dad to a beautiful daughter and you've managed both well by the looks of it. Enjoy every bit of it, because your little girl being little goes by far too quickly.
1748 PST: Sitting here eating some bean and cheese burritos, contemplating buying a PR4. YouTube is evil. Causes me to spend money.
