Hello Everybody, I should say it!? Well, I used to be a member, before the updated forum. Finally got around to joining up again. Good to be back.
I was a member on the old forum for a few years and here at the beginning. I got myself banned for making statements/jokes I shouldn't have. I really missed this place and the camaraderie it has with good folks sharing their love of USING their gear and getting outdoors so I apologized to @Jeff Randall for those previous mistakes and he told me to sign back up. In the likeness of @ManOfSteel, @Stone and @AddictedToSteel I plan to stay around and be better behaved! It's been good being back and interacting with old members and meeting the new folks who've joined in my hiatus. I'm from Louisiana and work as a field technician for a environmental/wetland monitoring service, so I'm out on the water in swamps and coastal marshes in a wide variety of conditions year around. Lately I've been contemplating a career change to law enforcement. I'm also going to be a parent again with my daughter being delivered on January 15th, so I'll have her and my son 17.5 years apart JMJ/Zeitgeist
I’m DesertFox and did two things because of this site: (1) joined because you have an awesome forum community, and; (2) Bought an Izula II based on the really helpful comments and reviews. Thanks to everybody who has been contributing so far for all the things you’ve done to make this a place that new members would want to join. Looking forward to more posts and more ESEE knife purchases in the future. (And I always get stumped coming up with forum names, so I picked the first animal I saw today: a desert fox, which I later learned was actually a swift fox or “Vulpes velox”. Already learning new things about the outdoors!)
Hey everybody, I am new here. I guess I am a bladeforums dropout, youtube guy, and I make some tactical nylon gear. A long, long time ago, I was looking at my first "survival" knife, it came down to the Bk9 and the Junglas. I ended up going Becker, and staying there a long time. Not that I regret any of my Beckers, but it took far too long to get an Esee. It started with the Cr2.5 for me, and at this point I am all in, with the Cr2.5 and the Pr4 vying for the title of my favorite production knife. I hope to learn, maybe share some of my reviews of Esee products, as well as some of the tips and tricks that I enjoy in the bush, which I am sure will expand exponentially once I spend some time down with yall in Alabama!
Thanks bud! I am going to spend some time browsing, reading the rules, and see how this show operates, I know all forums are different
After a day, I've found that it's surprisingly active and the members are very cordial. I'm enjoying it here so far and hope you will too!
