Can anyone recommend me a light for an ar15? I don't honestly know much about lights at all so anything will help.

Klarus. Sootch has some good reviews on his youtube. I have a XT11S and I love it. And it won't break the bank. The XT11GT IS EVEN BETTWR!. never had a Klarus fail me. I recommend something takes 18650 batteries so you can recharge them but also then CR123 work also if you double them. Li-ion don't worry as well in the cold so it's nice to have a primary cell option

I second the PD35. Mine has been mounted on my AR for over a year now with no issues.

What are going to use it for? Indoors, outside, face shooting Tangos? Do you already have rails or do you need to mount it to the barrel?

Thank you everyone! I'm looking into your recommendations, and what mount are you using for the pd35?It will be used mostly outdoors but maybe indoors. Mostly for messing around on the ranch and shooting pest but also home defense if absolutely needed(have a shotgun set for that role) I have a m-lok rail.

I use a PD22 and a zip tie. Its nestled in the gap between the top rail and curvature of the handguard, just behind the sight post. Sturdy and slim.

High speed, low drag. Or something like that. /s

Bumping this up. Those mounts seem reasonable. Anyone have a spare one they want to sell?

Here are a few great mounts from Elzetta.

    https://www.elzetta.com/flashlight-mounts/

I have taken a few carbine courses and have witness a few flashlights that failed. I would stay with the big three for a weapon mounted light, Surefire, Streamlight or Elzetta lights. If it is not going to be mounted then use any brand. Use Lithium Batteries, like what was said above ,they work better in the cold. If you find a model that you like, if it can take the rechargeable Li 18650, that is the way to go.
