Anyone see this thing from Wilson Combat yet? They say it outperforms the bushmaster, the beowulf, and the SOCOM. @Expat ?
Looks like fun! Had a .450 Bushmaster in 2012, loved it but ammo was hard to find. If I ever go bigbore again I'm getting a .450 Marlin upper for my Aero LR308. Real deal hot .45/70 loadings from Hornady.
I’m fine with my .45-70. I think that HAM’R would be cool to own but that’s a novelty for me more than practical rifle I’d use, as @Ovarb19 said.
I totally agree with both of y'all! Bigbore rounds feel more at home I single shot and lever rifles honestly. And because of our "primitive" rifle deer season rules .45/70 is about as easy to find in stores as .223 and .308. Not to mention for the price of most bigbore uppers you can get a 1895SBL.
