But just about anything you do now is handicapped by the lack of a social media presence. I think the difficulty depends on what sort of page you're running, and how hard it is to provide content to fit that niche. There's a reason there are so many meme pages. It's easy to find memes. As long as you have consistent content, an audience will build. The obstacle is consistency in acquiring and posting content. The days of low hanging fruit is definitely over though. I won't drag this thread any further off topic, this all just interests me a bit too much.
for a business/cause....etc....you are absolutely correct....you MUST be on social media and you really need to be interactive....if you only throw up posts and never respond or engage then you are missing probably 60% of the power of social media.... use of Hashtags and NETWORKING really help grow a page...but ABOVE ALL....CONTENT IS KING!! If you want take compelling pics and maybe write a bit....there is no reason to for people to visit your site.
