While helping Jeff put out new nav points at the farm Monday I came across a nice stump. I go through a bunch of the stuff teaching classes/doing demos etc so of course I had to bring it home! PC060476.JPG PC060478.JPG PC060479.JPG

We fertilize them every year just to create land nav barriers

Am I the only one who gets hungry when I see this stuff?

DJ must cook over fatwood. Makes that steak taste amazing.

Most people shun any pine due to the resin. One small piece at the beginning of the cook makes a huge difference in deer or cow. Don’t care for it with most fish though.

I just chew on the fatwood or chop it up on top of my steak and it saves burning it.

I cut down big Pine in my back yard. Killed by a lightning strike. 20 inch diameter stump is solid fatwood. A lifetime supply for me.
