.....ahhhhhhhh what I would term a rated recovery point..........not sure what you would call them there.
So lots of people like to stick there foot out the door of jeeps so I built this so when I'm not using them the will flip up out of the way.
It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand. Don't you read the stickers? The foot out the door thing is something I've never understood. I'm driving down the road operating 4K lbs of car that doesn't handle great to start with, but also I need to look cool so I'm going to stick an appendage outside so everyone can see. It's like the Hi Lift on the hood: let's take this big piece of steel and mount it where it's a pain to access. I'll likely dent the vehicle at some point getting it or putting it back, and if I get in an accident I've added a steel bar four feet from my head, attached with a couple of small bolts.
Have you ever tried to text while drinking coffee, searching for new podcasts, finishing lunch and digging around under the seat for something you think might be under there? All the while dodging other people doing the same and people in Teslas who think their car will drive itself? And you want us to MANUALLY change gears too?
Ok so I still been refining my work on my foot pegs. And I must say it is coming along nicely. It is working well as a step to get the front part of the roof rack if you had one. I did weight limit test on in today by standing on it I'm 270 and it didn't move an inch. The next step is to mill some aluminum and make the pegs look like pegs lol
