Im planning on stippling a polymer handled knife and was wondering if anyone here has done it or has any good advice.Im stippling a Spyderco aqua salt. The top and bottom of the handle are just to smooth for me. Any advice . Pictures or someone who does nice custom work would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.. Mack
gimmie an hour to get pics. I did mine with a dremel and tiny burr bit. WEAR A DRYWALL RESPIRATOR or have the vacuum running. The dust is horrendously bad for you , and esp for the pets.
this is my Emerson Super Commander. I basically touched a little Dremel Burr Bit onto the scales (off the knife) and then dragged the bit around in a snail trail pattern. Very Grippy. hope this helps. this is the bit: https://www.amainhobbies.com/dremel...myxxaAexgIT3x197DLI9bco2KIWQQnPaq2BoC4Mjw_wcB I used a ball burr bit at first, but it burned out and got dull VERY quickly. So hence the carbide one.
practice on a hard piece of plastic or soft aluminum metal first........then remove your knife scales. and have fun.
