That's a strange place for a steering wheel to have a paddle shifter  :p

Ordered early Monday morning, shipped within a couple hours from Finland, arrived High Noon Wed. Impressive shipping time, US vendors could learn a bit from Lamnia!

Cheburkov Russkiy (Russki) in S125V along with a couple cousins!

This thing has a really thick grind, it's gonna take forever to sharpen. But I'll never break it batonning! :p

Re-hafted today, in anticipation of more steel-smiting:

Sorry I missed this! Fit and finish is right there with the Shiros, action initially was a bit tight but after a little use is comparable, ergonomics are very nice it fits my 2XL glove size hands very well, love the blade shape and the jimping on the spine is quite nice! Blade grind is very well done, much sharper then my Shiros were with factory edge. I measured 15 thousandths behind the edge. I broke down a couple dozen large Amazon boxes with no noticeable loss of sharpness.

Cheburkov states Rockwell of 61-62 the feel of the steel on a 2500 grit silicon carbide stone is very similar to my Spyderco Maxamet Para 3 so I believe it is every bit of 62. Since I wanted to see how tough the steel was I used a small wood mallet and wacked it through some thick copper wire, and a couple common box staples no chips or rolling, nor any damage I can see with my eyes.

My only two negatives are pocket clip, and the finish they use on the ti scales. Pocket clip is great in hand, no hot spots, but it is a bit stiff and could have a little more room for thicker materials, not a deal breaker, but could be better!

My gripe with the finish used on the ti handles is nothing to do with quality, but it seems to absorb skin oils, and create smudges which thus far I've not been able to remove with methods commonly used. Not the end of the world but a bit annoying.

I almost bought a Scout to try, but instead went with the Russkiy, admittedly the S125v was the deciding factor. The other consideration was the scout seemed very close to the 95T wich I already have.

Sorry for the wall of text guys!

Couple of pics of a new arrival that displaced my Russians for the day!
