    Received y Xancudo today.

I don't know when I've been so happy with a purchase.

I didn't like the color of the scales from all the pics but in person I think they are great. I have an orange CR2.5 and a 3 and the Xancudo is slightly more subdued but will still be plenty visible when laid down. The texture of the scales is perfect.

Blade shape is spot on and just the length for an every day knife and 99% of tasks.

This has to be the sharpest ESEE that I've purchased. Arm hair seems to sever before being touched by the blade.

I think these fixed Xancudos and the JG3 are the two ESEE knives that deserve more respect.

Definitely agree!! Most underrated Esee! And the sharpest one I've handled as well. Maybe not the prettiest shape wise but that doesn't matter to me. Blade shape is perfect. And handle is Very comfortable! They nailed this S35V.

The leather dye i used on the scales is coming off. Leaves it darker but im sure it will be back orange after awhile. I like the subdued look. The edge is almost where i want it.

What did you use to dye the scales? That looks really great! I like that it is still two tone.

That knife in that steel looks like it could be almost perfect for me.

I'm putting a few blades up on CL to see if I can't scratch up enough cash for a knife like that through a local sale or two. A 3 and a BK16. My jaw dropped when I looked and saw what a regular USPS box ships for these days!

Do you find the G10 slippery?

G10 is grippy except when you compare it to micarta

I guess it depends on the finish, as BRKT micarta is slippery and polished and CS G10 is grippy like sandpaper. I have handled two of the 3D G10 models but haven't used them so don't know how they will fare in real world use.
