Contact your favorite dealer and let them know you want a few dozen for stocking stuffers.

this and the cleaver and the junglas are all i need in my kitchen, be it the apt or in the woods. I will most likely treat myself to this knife for Christmas, still have some outstanding bills to cover.

It allows the knife to be used as a "draw knife". Sometimes guys in the jungle (who work with bamboo a lot) really like that feature because you can shave wood very precisely for fire prep, or strips for cordage--that sort of thing. That's getting out of my area of expertise but the bush crafter people can speak more to the advantages of that.

The hole is the shape of El Salvador, plus you can use it to press out cookie dough just like the cleaver.
