    Nice review. I've entertained the thought of getting one of those tents. Price is reasonable, but I like a side entrance on a small tent better. You and I are about the same size.

    5 lbs 12 oz. with stuff sacks, poles, and stakes. You could use trek poles in place of the standard poles and replace the included stakes with some of our lightweight aluminum ones, and leave out the stuff sacks to reduce the weight.

    I've seen these tents recently on our local flea market websites.
    Like the simple design,nothing fancy,just a tent.
    How waterproof are they?

    They need to have the seams sealed. Beyond that, they're good to go from what I've heard so far. @Panzer has been using his and may have more thoughts on that.
