I saw these the other day at a local shop. What does one do with it? I know it isn't for hardcore mountain biking, and it's not for street riding.. so what is the purpose? I heard you can ride in snow but that's it so far. I'm actually curious, maybe it'll keep me from buying my Stumpjumper.
I was originally looking into a "standard" hardtail mountain bike, but I also wanted something to ride in the winter and on the beach. It's main advantages will be greatly increased traction and "flotation" over sand and snow. The tires are very low pressure so they act as a sort of suspension and roll over just about anything with ease. Definitely not for everyone, but it sure is a blast to ride.
It's not as bad as you might think, but it's definitely slower to get going. It's a trade off for the increased traction. If I didn't live in an area with lots of sand and snow, I wouldn't even consider it. Like @Bcamos said, that's really where they shine.
More MTM boxes (both 50s and slip top 20s), a brass hammer and drift punch set and something else I have forgotten now...
Just picked up a new Carothers Performance Knives EDC and scored big on a new CPK Field Knife as well.
10th anniversary Gerber 06 Auto and a Streamlight TLR-1 for things that go bump in the night. I really missed my Gerber auto and had to replace it when this came along. The O.D. green cerakote on the scales made it even harder to resist for it's differentness. This one and the last one I had give me some hope that Gerber isn't completely a lost cause (They've tried to ruin the color orange with all the Chicom crap), This knife feels great, is solid, the blade is well centered and overall fit and finish is on a level with ZT with at least this particular model.
Got my new light to replace the missing LD-22 (which I found yesterday) charger, batteries and something from @91bravo Two brass worry stones and a CF Manix 2XLwith S90V steel. This thing is wickedly sharp!
