HPG Heavy Recon, mated to a SOE heavy harness, mated to a Direct Action Tactical Mosquito Belt. Back straps pulled off a Kifaru E&E for the rear attachment point (belt to H harness) and the HPG Gear HR pack attachment straps and two Grimlocs for the front belt to HPG HR kit bag attachment.

Also, I both want and need a set up like that.

Absolutely bad ass. What are you using for the bear spray holster? I need something more solid than the elastic stock holster my Counter Assault came with.

would you believe there are 6 knives in that set up? :) Cleaver and SK5 Blackbird in the back hydration pouch, Esee 6 on the belt, Esee Izula2 on the harness strap, Grohmann #3, Fiddleback Forge and a Leatherman in the HPG kit bag.

    oh thats actually 7... :D

HSGI SOFT TACO. Can be used for anything cylinder shaped, like magnum can bear spray, beer bottle, beer can, wasp spray etc.

not a rig that is easy nor quick to put on or take off.....But once its on.......very comfortable. Take out 6 of the 7 knives and the weight drops by 5 lbs.

do your research on vests and load bearing setups.....you may prefer a pack........(< faster to put on / take off)

It might look mall ninjy, but it's actually a really practical set up for the dense, humid rainforest we call home. It's easier to crawl under dead fall with no pack on your back to get snagged. I was thinking about making a similar set up to @Bushman5 above, before I ended up buying an HPG Umlindi.

Or do you mean about the kit bags?

I know you're just making fun, but there are legit reasons for their use. Besides, I don't even have a mall in my town:D

What's a mall? You talking about the tool used to split wood? That's spelled "Maul", I can't imagine you wouldn't have a bunch of those in a Canadian town:p
