Ha...I'm pretty sure I could buy a house instead of a Patek.

Got a business meeting today so Seiko alpinist.
Need to replace that factory band with something nicer, I think it's the only part of this piece that is letting it down.

I would love a Ulysse Nardin, but I don't know if it'll ever happen. Heck, there's a list of watches that I would love to own, but it's just a wish list.

Here are a few that are actually pretty reasonably priced for the watches they are.

I've had a few Sloppy Ritas. They are appropriately named for what they do to you.

Wearing my much loved and battered Seiko Orange Monster today.
This is the second watch I ever bought, still ticking away even after abuse I never would have expected it to survive.

Have any of you Omega owners sent yours in for the "tune-up" they recommend?

    https://www.omegawatches.com/customer-service/servicing-my-omega/

Watch the video in the link above. They do a complete overhaul to ensure everything is clean, functioning, and precise. I'm just interested to know if any of you have done it. I've been thinking that it's time for me to get that done, but haven't wanted to spend the money yet.

I sent in my Seamaster earlier this year. Watch was produced in 2009. the way I look at it, if the watch is one that is of heirloom quality and something you plan to pass down someday you should treat it accordingly. Does it need to go in like clockwork (pun intended) for service per the manufacturer, I think not, but I would definitely take it in if you were having issues with gaskets, keeping accurate time more than a minute off per day, ect. or at least every 10 years. If you change the oil in your car on schedule and sharpen your knives after use, why wouldn't you take care of your timepiece.
