I wanted an Esee 5 for quite awhile, finally found one, knife only, from a seller named Belote on Ebay. It came with a very legitimate looking box, cards, paper with the Esee logo all over them. Knife looks very good as well. After reading everything about all the counterfeits I'm worried if I got one or not. Can anybody tell me if they know anything about that dealer?
The eBay Store is called "the sharpest store on the web" they have pretty impressive reviews and over two-hundred esee products in there store. My guess is its real based on that, you may want to check it out though. That would be a pretty big operation if they are not real.
It may well be but unless they are listed on our dealer locator on the web site, we don't vouch for them.
I was working with a guy who had a brick and mortar store and we signed up to be a dealer with ESEE. We never got our name on the website, but neither did we place an initial order. We started low volume and ESEE recommends that some of their wholesalers, like Blue Ridge Knives, can offer comparable pricing to what a low volume dealer would get from ESEE, so we always placed our orders with Blue Ridge instead of ESEE. I am guessing that was why we never got on the website. Now that the store is closed, this is all moot.
There are NO authorized dealers on Ebay. If you buy there you have a high likelihood of buying a counterfeit knife. See our dealer locator on our web site for authorized dealers. And the "review" ratings on Ebay are totally meaningless. Every counterfeiter we have seen on Ebay has had a high/good rating. That system is bogus because the seller can alter the ratings themselves.)) Mike
We have many authorized ESEE dealers on the dealer locator that buy from Blueridge and not us. They simply have to let us know, otherwise we have no idea who they are to put them on the dealer listing.
We mistakenly assumed that getting approved as a dealer would get us on the list. But, as I stated, the store is closed and the business dissolved, so it is moot.
Dull Knife Terminator is indeed an authorized dealer. He signed up under the web site https://www.sharpernow.com. We were unaware of an eBay store. With that said, we do not recognize anyone's eBay store, nor will we list eBay stores on our dealer locator .
Dull Knife Terminator is a good dealer. You can always chicken our dealer page of our web site to see if any dealer Nisan authorized dealer or not. I wasn't aware any had a presence on Ebay. Since Ebay is the single largest domestic source of counterfeit products and they refuse to remove any counterfeit listings it makes it a poor choice for a market venue for any dealer trying to sell legitimate products. But they can choose to do so if they wish. I would simply buy direct from their web site and not through their Ebay store front. Mike
