Yeah, pocket holsters need to be pretty loose fitting. You could probably add a belt loop or something and turn it into either a outside or maybe even an inside the waist holster though. Also by wet forming it doesn't help hide the shape of the gun in your pocket, if you are worried about printing.
This. I have a pocket holster that I have used for several years and it is fairly loose and the smooth side of the leather is on the inside. By having the rough side out and smooth side in, it allows the gun to slip out of the holster when you draw it, but keeps the holster inside the pocket so it doesn't come out with the gun. Mine also has a couple of "catches" on either side to hook on the inside of the pocket, again to help keep the holster in the pocket when you draw the gun.
