Wrapped, or mostly wrapped, up a couple small projects I have been working on this weekend.

RB3 liners, re-stiched the sheath in red, made a dangler...

Big honkin' firesteel with Idaho mule deer antler.

Spork. Unknown wood, more an excercise in carving than something I will use much.

Put this together over the weekend. I've lived here for 6 months and haven't even started to pull my tools out of storage.

Just bought this last week. Had to move it up a hill to a flat, as my buddy is putting an actual single wide where it was sitting. Half ass leveled it out, just until I have time to go down and start fixing it up. I'll put more blocks under it, build a deck because it's in a rather wet area, and run power to it. Other than that it just needs cleaned up. Electric is good, ac and heat works, and the new redneck roof is water tight. It will make for a perfect spot for hunting camp. The property it sits on is 10-30 minutes from 5 state hunting lands, 10-20 minutes from three reservoirs and the Ohio River, and a great 4 wheeling spot. I can't complain for $400.

I'm pretty excited. It's not much, but more than I need. Gives us a weekend place to get the kids away from the TV and video games.

your not worried about it getting trashed and vandalized or worse???? Something like that up here, would be a meth lab or squatters hovel in a week of non use. Then it would torched or smashed .

No a friend owns the property. It's a pretty safe area.

Finished up my ESEE 4 project0 the knife part anyway. On to the sheath. Spalted tamarind wood, brass corby bolts, brick red liners. More girth than the compact TKC 3/4 handles, but a very similar profile. BLO finish. Guess I should sharpen it now too. I am not entirely happy with it, it'll probably end up in the FS section. My spork is done as well, coconut oil bath...

Thanks, I appreciate the attaboy. However, I think you are thinking those are Loveless bolts (sometimes called fisheye bolts). These are Corby bolts, which screw in, kind if like the new ESEE bolts, but you don't end up with that inside circle- target look.

Just finished my deck for my camper at deer camp. Got a few things to do tomorrow but I gotta run to Lowes and I'm all outta steam for the day. Not to shabby for my first carpentry project. I used treated wood for the headers and joists, and 3/4" plywood for the deck. I know that's not the right way but I get plywood at work for free so even if it only lasts a season or two, pulling up the old sheets and adding new isn't a big deal.
