Here's one pair of GB's I own. The smaller Hand Hatchet and the Wildlife Hatchet. The heads on these are similar but not the same. In hand, I like the feel of the Hand Hatchet better. It has more grunt if you will and I almost never use it to chop so much as push cut. The Wildlife Hatchet feels like a tomahawk, with a small lighter feeling head as you grip it on the end. Great for brush clean up and making kindling. According to the specs sheets these hatchets weigh the same 1.3 lbs

So how does the Ray Mears differ from the Small Forrest Axe in terms of usage?

Smallest is a Norlund rehaft project that is finally rehafted. Haybe in another year or three I'll get around to sharpening it, and make a mask a couplle years after that... The largest is an estate sale find. Its only markings are "Marion USA"- great axe though.

None with the one I have. It's just the SFA but if you buy it from the Ray Mears website it has his logo on it rather than the GB. Logo.
