I just found this on another forum that I belong to. Seem's like even US companies are OK with making unauthorized copies of other peoples merchandise.

I was sort of wondering the same thing. What/Who are we talking about here.

Sorry the link that I found did not copy over. I will go back and try to find it again. Basically it was a story about Sears ripping off the Robo grip from the US inventor after getting him to agree to supply Sears with the tool and not sell/supply any of sears competitors( Lowes-Home Depot). After a couple of years of very good sales Sears dropped the account and had the tool counterfeited over seas. I will look after the show that I am watching is over.

This should of said Bionic wrench.

You're talking about the Bionic Wrench (?) guy, right?

I remember reading something about it four or five years ago.

Do they even make Robo grips anymore?
I got a pair when they first came out like 20 years ago. Nothing special about them.

This is the company I remember reading about.
    https://loggerheadtools.com

At the time some guy posted about it on a 4x4 site I was a member of.
Seemed like Sears strung him along and then found a similar design that they had produced so they dropped him or changed the deal or something.

Regardless of what happened, Sears sucks, has for a while and I'm surprised everytime I read somewhere that they (and Kmart) haven't gone under for good.

Jokes on him! Sears doesnt own Craftsman tools.
Wait a minute! This guy is mad at Sears for ripping off "his design" that he ripped off from something invented 60+ years ago?
