After diving into the 10 mm for two years and coming up short on what I was trying to accomplish, I sold all my 10 mm auto loaders and fell back to my 44's. I handload which allows me a wider range of versatility with this calibre. I really like the Model 69.
So my SP101 went back to Ruger for a second time. Not even one week after getting it back from them. We shall see.
MMWaderer, I see the similar issues with S&W revolvers also. One will be perfectly assembled with no issues and another will be so poorly assembled and timing so bad four out of six chamber will not lockup. It's so frustrating to make multiple returns to the factory for the same issue. At least Ruger has one of the best warranty's in the industry! Good luck on your repairs.
Haven't heard back from them so I'm hoping that means they are doing more than just replacing the pin like before.
I'm saddened to look through five pages of posts and not see one picture of a Colt. I need to remedy this problem.
My first wheelgun was a Python. It was a fine handgun and I would gladly have another...!!! It did (as is almost to be expected) shoot out of time as I used it LOTS. In those days it was not unusual to go through 500 + rounds each weekend. It was also well used prior to me taking possession of it (such treasures tended to pass between members of small town pistol clubs over and over), I actually remember shooting that same Python when I was about 13 and it belonged to a different person than who I got it from at 18. I have it to a mate (along with an S&W .22) as a thanks for helping me rebuild a Landcruiser I rolled over. He had it tuned and refinished and it was back to fine form !!! The only Colt revolver I have now is an Officers Model Match .22. It is a great fund pistol to shoot !!!
It is a fine piece. I acquired it from the original purchaser. He has shot less than 50 rounds through it. Once shot, it is all the same for collectors piece. This one is in good shape. Thanks. As I understand this pistol, it is rare. It is a Mark III with a Mark V vented barrel.
What is wrong with you people? I only saw one single action on this post! Are there no Y chromosomes among you? Luckily you have me to remedy the situation and represent this paragon of Americanism with my meager collection. Mostly .45 Colt but a smattering of .357, .22LR, .475 Linbaugh and a few .45 ACP cylinders thrown in.
