Oh Fudgenuts!!! 10 rounds in and the same thing happens. Just got it back from Ruger for this problem and now it will go back to them.
Yep! I'm looking at it parts are missing. #'s 16, 27 & 3. 26 is the problem pin that keeps backing out. It is very possible that the parts shot out when I opened the cylinder. They are spring loaded.
I don't see a 586 with 3" barrel as a current product offering on the Smith and Wesson website. I like the model 66 combat magnum. It has a 2.75" barrel. https://www.smith-wesson.com/firearms/model-66-combat-magnum
Smith and Wesson changed their website since I last looked several weeks ago. It seems better to me... easier to sort through their vast product offerings using the selection tool. Anyway, I don't see a 626 in 44mag listed. Use this link and select 44mag and it should get you the listing for all their current 44mag offerings. @Strigidae which one do you want? https://www.smith-wesson.com/revolvers By the way, I handled the model 69 in 44mag. It's the only L-frame in 44 and has a 5 round round cylinder. Felt great, and would be a good woods carry gun for me... I could load it down and/or use 44 specials so it would actually be reasonable to shoot at the range.
I filter by selecting which caliber I want. There are plenty of the 629 model. Even some model 29 options. I do miss my 29 and would've kept it if it had a 6.5 or 4 inch instead of the 8 inch barrel.
629. Its been years since ive looked at them. Moved away from revolvers years ago. Theres still a place for one of those in my house for a deer hunter during alternative season.
