I'm definitely a novice at this, but here are a couple of projects. Some handkerchiefs I made for Christmas presents. Sewed this pouch for the inside of this possibles bag.
I just come into ownership of a sewing machine. I plane to make me some stuff sacs since most do mine have worn out over the years. So far all I have seen was a costume for my little girl for a school play. I'll post the pics as soon as I find them.
Some older projects. Sleeping bag for my dog She ended up liking it as blanket so i left out the buttons for enclosing it
My great grandmas sewing machine that i use to make stuff. Was making a sock monkey blanket for my dog. She loved it to pieces if you want to know. German shredder.
I used to make custom tool rolls for motorcycle riders. This one was built to specs for a guy in Germany that was going all over Africa for months. It eventually had thousands of miles and lots of use without a stitch coming lose.
Well my sewing experience is ameture at best.. Nothing like some of the folks on here do! I have been machine and hand sewing mostly repairs for atleast 20 years now. I don't do it often enough to keep up to many skills. Wifey owns a decent sew/ embroidery machine I believe it a Brothers brand. So I do most my sewing on it now a days. Main projects we work on are: Handkerchiefs Scrub/ Buffont caps ( with embroidered name on front or back. Sun dresses Baby Blankets/ Quilts Near Future projects include: 1x Baby Blanket 2x Weighted Blankets ( If I can find some Multicam fabric) Probably some scrub caps Sundresses for the girls for summer. A few projects I actually took photos of. Purple blanket was the Wifeys 1st baby blanket I helped her make. Yellow Pooh blanket under the sleeping kiddo is one I made a few years ago.
Looking to complete 3 Blankets/ quilts in the next week or 2. I've got some help coming into town so it shouldn't be to bad Looks like I need to knock out 1 Crib size Baby Blanket 20 pound Weighted blanket 25 pound Weighted blanket A little info on Weighted Blankets http://www.sensacalm.com/weighted-blanket-therapy/ http://www.mosaicweightedblankets.com/benefits/ http://www.myweightedblanket.com/what-is-a-weighted-blanket-.html
A friend just returned from Greenlamd and brought a seal skin home. I hand stitched this pouch for his Bible and iPad. 12"x18" with carved bone bead closure.
Least favorite part is cutting out the pattern. Yes thats a trash bag. I use them for pattern paper. Never could find straight pins in multicam or tacticool so the dritz ones are what i use.
Started a new pack today. 500D multicam. Started the straps and realized I didn't have enough 1" webbing to finish them so I had to place an order. I decided to add a dedicated pouch on the front for a pullout medical pouch. The pack is going to be 20" x 12" x 7".
Nice!!! Really nice!!! Some day ill have to pick your brain on what foam for packs and where to get it. Ran into that same issue with needing webbing for a rifle case I was working on last week. Still need to make an order.
