Ive never been, ok. But i surely dont need 911. They dont follow the forums and wouldnt know the situation with trucks emps msg and pooping.
So what ever happened? @Expat mentioned he shot an Esee with a handgun, but didn't give details or pics of what the results were.. it was in some thread about AR500 steel it think. "You laugh but I once shot an ESEE outside of Bogota, Colombia. I think Jeff still has the pieces. Or maybe Mike has them." http://eseeknives.com/forums/index.php?threads/lost-for-30-hours-eats-twigs.2182/page-6
Beats me sir. Id imagine it marred the finish and thats about it. I think there is an esee in the museum that some fella tested all sorts of rounds on. Think handgun rounds didnt do much.
Details: Location: Bogota, Colombia Time: Circa 2004 Handgun: Beretta 92F Ammo: 9mm FMJ (IMI production) Distance: Approximately 15 yards Knife: RAT prototype, Ontario made Pics: Long since misplaced Current Status: Mike Perrin or Jeff has the knife It was the final test in a destruction test. We had lit the micarta with flame until the bic started to melt. We chopped at the micarta with another knife. We broke many, many car windows with both the pommel and the blade. Stabbed through tires and car doors until we were wore out. Maybe Mike or Jeff can post pics of the knife. If I recall correctly it is 3 pieces. Somewhat unfair test because I believe it hadn't been heat treated yet. The model was never released. It was more of a tactical style. It was in the old Ontario days so it was pre-Rowen. It was meant to be a stabber as well as a slasher. Maybe I should revisit it under the Expat Knives® line....
To be honest with you, in retrospect, I'm glad the thing broke when we shot it because our next test was to wrap it in det cord and set that off. We probably wouldn't be here. Idle hands in a third world country with access to everything under the sun and no inventory management is a very dangerous combination.
Got my revolver back from Ruger today. The pin you see on the crane backed out twice. First time already had 4,000 rounds thru it. Complete disassembly, cleaning. Second time was 150 rounds after that. Hey things happen and it was probably a bad pin but I love my SP101. Going to the range tomorrow. 357 only.
