Took my professional fat wood hunters out to get some wood for the home wood burning stove. I spent 30min chopping at a stump, they spent 30 seconds pulling a stump out of the ground. They're pros.

Spam, an essential part of our diet when Grouse hunting. Will have to add Red Eye Hog to next trip.

Spam, tiny chopped up dill pickles and mayo. On toasted potato bread. Raising the blood pressure in style.

Looks like a great time. Not sure why, but the best fat wood I've found is over in the Talladega National Forest

I found a pine covered ridge in Bankhead that was hit by a storm a long while back. It's loaded up with some good stumps. I've been getting my winter supply there for the past 4 seasons.

Cool. Ive found a similar spot in Talladega. Its an old clear cut. The woods have come back, but all the old cut over stumps are still there.
