Allen is very meticulous with his sheaths. Notice the M-18 sheath has a recessed/exposed spine for using a ferro rod with the knife sheathed. He also offsets the mold just enough to keep the distal sheath portion from riding your leg. The 6&3 from @esee6&3 fits like a glove even though the blade has an odd shape. He also made a nice neck sheath for the Wolf Creek Forge (Lisa West) PSK.

@DYSPHORIC JOY, what's the purpose for the secondary piece of Kydex on your tradewater? Does it serve a purpose or is it just for aesthetics? Either way I like it. Different.

Allen somehow manages to keep abrasion from the blade, prevent withdrawal cuts on the edge side but yet provide rock solid retention.

Your MKII seems to have seen the same level of love as mine! Always liked it, but liked it even more after adding the hogue grip.

I like that feature to use a ferro rod with the knife sheathed!

I just came home to a package from @Allen Morrison. I had sent my newest axe, the Rinaldi Milano, that has no sheath. This is his outstanding work.

I wanted a minimalist type of sheath. But he did ask me about carrying the axe and offered a removable Teklok option which I readily chose.

    This sheath is awesome.

The fit is so precise I could probably go without the strap and still retain the sheath.

    Teklok removed.

He said this is his first axe.

Sorry @Allen Morrison for not replying right away. The fit and finish is excellent. I am still adjusting to the handle sticking out some and have adjusted the belt buckle closer to 11 so the sheath is nearer 12. Also, I find in the short time I've been wearing it I prefer the small teklock with the perpendicular carry over the large teklock. Today will be a good test though as I'm spending most of the day bucking, splitting and delivering firewood.

Oh, and about the orange, I don't color coordinate well so no worries.

    Very nice work!

I would think that kydex would be a very good material for an axe cover.

Wow! This is fantastic stuff. I've made a few of my own holsters out of Kydex, and I could never imagine getting anything that precise.

The holster looks great. Did the Hooks come from Allen, or did you attach after the fact? I'd like one of these for my ruger lc9s @Allen Morrison.
