I guess you are referrring to the London Bridge pouches? They are pricey, I'd probably get one to try if they were cheaper, but never really felt the need, adding weight for the sake of a bit better organization. The thing I love the most about this pack is the zipper layout, being able to completely open the pack right up quickly from top to bottom, or to reposition the double zippers to open up just a section of the top or sides, means everything, even if slightly disorganized, is readily accessible.

I try to pack bulky items like my shell and fleece in those really lightweight REI nylon stuff sacks.

Sometimes I wish I had a bit more space than the 30 litre offers so I've been toying with the idea of getting a 45 litre as well. I might also try lashing a Kifaru Roll Top Pod to the underside to see how that works, I'm generally not a fan of lashing anything to the outside of my packs though , the fishing rod being the exception.

The only thing that I would change with this pack would be wider Hill People Gear style shoulder straps.

I keep getting closer to Newfoundland. I'll soon be north of Bangor. Newfoundland is on my bucket list of places to visit someday. When I come, I'll bring that Helle Nying with me, just for grins. ;) Still one of my favorite blades.

There are a few options for cheaper pouches but they suck. Blue Force gear makes a lot of pouches but they are often up around $100.

The only thing I really want is a velcro backed med pouch. And maybe something to hold my dslr

Have I posted here yet?

Da'yum .. 5 pages, Saturday night, beer, relaxing, sore throat ...

I'll just post (again) any way, just in case I did/not.

    I've owned packs since I was ...<memory search>... 8. I'm now 66.

I've owned crap and I've owned top backpacking/mountaineering/expedition/climbing packs.
    (Gregory, Arcteryx, Mountainsmith...)

But my Eberlestock Halftrack exceeds any pack I've ever worn.
Material (1000 D), organization, and -- most important -- the suspension.
This has to be the best suspension on a pack ever.
Why? Designed for warriors carrying heavy loads,
not peak baggers and ultralight sports.

Just breaking in a Platatac MEOP large pack, basically an upgrade on the British issue PLCE large park. at over 100L it is larger than all my others but we are doing 10days in NZ hunting next year (chopper in walk - mostly - out) so need more space than usual. Loaded it up last weekend (a bunch of gear and excess water just to make it heavy and took it out for 10km through one of the local reserves. For the size and weight involved I was pretty happy with it. 15km next weekend.

Trying out my new HPG Connor Pack today. It is smaller than I'd imagined.

Little late to this party, but as to Velcro backed pouches, Red Rock has their mavriK line of packs. On the inside it is a field of loops and their pouches have the hook side.

Just received a used one of these...

    http://www.sordaustralia.com/day-pack

.... I scored off the local ebay. It is a neat little pack, overbuilt (like me ;) ) but a good size for a day and warm weather overnight maaaaybe. I am not sure it will replace my Eagle assault pack for limited wandering around but it may. I prefer the lid on this to the zip top on the Eagle if for no other reason that the ability to shove a big piece of Bambi in to walk out of the bush.
