Shaved off a big pile of fatwood shavings, let them dry out a bit for a few days then used my blade coffee grinder to turn them into dust. the aroma is incredible you can pack about 3 cups worth into a round pipe tobacco tin. Triple the amount compared to regular shavings, and they take a spark very well.
Making more shavings with my Bark River Pocket Bowie Knife and some primo Grade A local fat wood harvested a few years ago. round pipe tobacco tin, pressed full of almost 3 cups of fat wood dust, ready for the weekends adventures
its VERY comfortable in the hand, and the A2 steel strops SCALPING sharp I'm hoping to find its bigger brother - the 1909 Michigan Bowie with Moran handle
Awesome! I used one of these stupid Smiths tinder makers and it took forever to get enough to fill a small baggie. Definitely need to try your method.
