20220617_134733.jpg 20220617_134817.jpg A couple of years ago I upgraded some older 4 Sevens with 2 Fenix a Nitecore and OLight of various sizes. Picked up some specialty lights recently NEBO LEOs, NEBO Mycro, NEBO motion activated area lights, a couple of XyLED human body infrared induction lamps. Magnetic or stick up.
    Fenix and Black Diamond headlamps.
    The most used lights.

Very good lights I'm told. I was after getting one, but they don't ship to the UK, nor do any of thier dealers.

I bought my Fenix UC40UE direct from a Fenix sales rep in 2015 or 2016 while working at Hahn's Surplus and have used it on a regular basis ever since. It still works great in 2022.

My most used was a UC40UE that has the on off button worn through! been replaced and almost equally abused with a UC35 I'm still going strong with

I've not run across anybody else that had one of these Fenix UC40ue's before. The rep that sold me mine demonstrated that you could shove the battery in either direction and it would still work. you could also use AA's if needed. I still have the original rechargeable battery and it's still working some five or six years later. Of course a replacement cost more than a lot of complete high end flashlights. Somewhere around $80. last I checked? Now I cannot even find one. Oh well, my old one is still trucking.

The sales rep demonstrated all the variables for me, but I've never played with the options again.
I figured if it ain't broke don't fix it. :D

I think the rep referred to it as a multi fuel light? The AA's were not a perfect fit but they did work.
The part that amazed me was that you could insert the battery in either direction.

I take it you tried the different battery configurations?
Could be why I'm still happy with mine.

I’ve had this Fenix PD35 since 2014 and carried it almost daily since. It’s survived everything I’ve hit it with (or hit with it). Bulb stopped working once; I sent head to Fenix for a repair; they sent me an entire brand new head.

CountyComm sells 18650(?) rechargeable batteries for under $10, so I always have a spare ready to go.

I’ll carry a Streamlight ProTac 1AAA USB when I am trying to save pocket space.
