Will the 4 with 3D scales fit in a 4HM leather sheath? I prefer a leather sheath to the plastic sheaths.
I'm not sure what else I can do to it but I'm sure I'll think of something. Added a little bling (orange lock nuts) and a slide lock. It didn't need it but I'm bored.
Not mine, did for a customer. He wanted an esee 4 done with Harley. So Harley davidson flame logo with the esee skull and blades.
Yesterday, I didn't have a lot planned. With gas and food through the roof, I had no urge to travel. So I did some domestic chores in the morning. Inventorying food stores, labeling and storing flour, Just your basic homestead stuff. I did have a few steaks out thawing for the afternoon, so I took the 4 out to help with fire starting, Then I remembered I had a plan for it. so I took a before shot. While I was at it, I sliced up a couple of spuds and stuffed them with onions and garlic. Then I headed to the garage to find the right sized bit. I removed the handle scales and dyed them a dark brown. It it took about 30 minutes start to finish. I was pretty pleased with the results. By then the fire was ready for baking, and the spuds were ready, The cast iron bottom of my fire pit throws off serious heat. At roughly the hour and a half mark, I added a bunch of cherry hardwood for the steaks. The 4 looking all cool in its new color, one steak with Montreal Steak Seasoning, one with Slap Yo Mama. I'm out of REH need to reorder some. I work at a private hunt club with 17 members. I swear they can smell beer and steak from two miles out. I had a nice bed of coals ready when they started rolling in so I didn't get a chance to photograph the steaks on the coals. These guys hadn't seen steak done like this before. They were noticeably skeptical about the results. At least until I sliced it up, Spuds done like this are awesome, All in all, a good day with a great knife. Sorry for no meat in the coals pictures, but some times you just have to drink beer and go with the flow. LV,
Picked up a PR4 sheath and wet formed it to my 4. I think this is going to be a nice setup. I carried the 4 in my regular PR4 sheath a few weekends ago and it worked good so I got another one just for the 4.
Very tasty food ! Looks like you had a great day Love the handles on that 4, are those stock from Esee or TKC's? They are green micarta in 3D right?
So far so good. More pictures to come, of course, but the scales are curing and waiting on the kydex to come in.
