A Platatac Prototype Field Pack (they are clearing our their design room) and a Exped Synmat (thanks again Chorpie!).
@Stone what do you think? It's ORANGE and green at the same time. Way more green than my V10 truck lol. Now I gotta convince @JV3 to break his bike back out and ride with me.
Ordered a bunch of sh¡t. Building anticipation for all the anticipators. Which could be everyone or no one
Have a new camera on the way. Sony a5000 Alpha. Got it for a song and dime, so I'm pretty excited. I've wanted a compact mirror-less camera for a bit and Sony cameras have always impressed
4 Panasonic AAA NiMH batteries claiming 10 year shelf life ( 70% capacity remaining after up to 10 years unused). They were sitting at about 1.3 volts, and what looked like 45% battery life, so methinks that claim is bullshit The other claim is the number of times they can be recharged. 2100 times. That, I can believe. I've read about a new gel solution that allows batteries to be recharged 10s of thousands of times. So 2100 is nothing. By the way, even tho Panasonic now makes Eneloops, they are still made in Japan. If you did not know already, Panasonic is one of the leading battery makers. Given that, I'm very confident the Eneloop brand is still a top tier NiMH rechargeable battery. Wasn't going to bother with this, but also got an Oral-B Vitality rechargeable toothbrush. It was cheap, 30.00 CDN. And instead of paying 35CDN for 2 Oral-B whatever they are called, heads. I ordered a package of 5 knockoff, with some German looking writing on them for 12.00CDN. I compared the 2 - very close in brush quality ( Oral-B's bristles felt a little superior) and functions perfectly. I have to say, (after 120 second brush time) my first use of the Oral-B. My teeth definitely felt more "clean" than using a toothbrush. Even brushing longer with a manual toothbrush. The Oral-B has a 2 minute vibration pattern to let you know time is up. That said, you don't have to spend a lot to get a superior tool for brushing your teeth. Just offering my 2 cents on this subject.
^^ I wonder if that butt strap would be felt if shooting with just a t-shirt on ? Never shot a 30-30 ( what it looks like) so unsure of it's recoil. Not a lot, I believe. Also, that buttpad looks like hard plastic to begin with
Yeah, I have a lightweight 16inch Winchester 94 (Trapper) with a plastic butt and it is no issue recoil wise. Bark on the hand, yes, it can leave the ear a ring'n !! That strop would be no issue.
I guess it's obvious when a rifle has a hard plastic recoil pad, a strap across the butt isn't a cause for concern. Probably not something you'd want on a 300 win mag, or 338 win mag, etc.
