So she'll probably say I shouldn't watch u-tube after a certain hour..or number of beverages. This is a Gordon Ramsey "quick n easy" idea that went completely off the rails. :D
    Spicy Sausage and Rice.

You guys only ever see the "straightened out" version, but my wild creations usually start like this.

    20211113_124714.jpg
I love watching Gordon cook..but his simple ingredient list just left on the bus to Clarksville...

    20211113_124730.jpg
And apparently I might flit off to somewhere if my feet are not anchored down.

    20211113_130513.jpg
Alrighty now, the cook is in the "zone"..

    20211113_132000.jpg
For this lot, I'm going to need a LOT of sausage.

It's is just too nice to stay indoors. Well then off we go!!

    20211113_140227.jpg
I bet Gordon would like this spread though.

    20211113_140338.jpg
    I'm doing something she doesn't know about..shhhh.

    20211113_142612.jpg
Then it's just stage things in to get here..

    20211113_142658.jpg
But I can't just step right, No its back, right, forward, backwards, left,forward..like some crazy cookery dance!

This is a "Ramsey trick", he calls it Blasting in the video. Dump your rice in dry, stir, and let's is go a minute or two. Let it soak up all the delicious juices in the pan.

    20211113_145623.jpg
Then an ocean of homemade dark rich stock, drop a lid on, and simmer for 15.
With 4 left on the clock I added sliced cherry tomatoes, diced green onions, and a tablespoon of parsley. Stir to mix and run out the time..
    20211113_151910.jpg
Time out, heat off and just let it sit a few minutes. I was occupied so mine went 15..

This is so spicy and good, I'm definitely going to hurt myself.

And her special something? Who doesn't want Peach Crumble with peaches from my yard?

There will need to be extra hours in the gym next week. But it was worth it! :D

This is the "Distracting " recipe.
I'm at the gym, in the middle of a massive workout, when I find I've been sitting on the row machine for 10 minutes without moving because this has invaded my head. I can see it! The spices, the ingredients, and prep..I can actually see the dish I'm going to make in my mind!
( might have gone cray cray here Fellas )

    20211117_181905.jpg
The invasive seasoning blend, adjusted by taste test. Just a hint of peppery zap.

    20211120_170522.jpg
    My idea of a slo-cooker.

    20211120_170906.jpg
3 lbs of chunked chicken breast, 1 butternut squash, 1 yellow onion, 3 carrots, 2 stalks of celery, 2 green onions, 1 large clove of garlic, 2 cups of homemade stock, 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 bay leaf 1/3 cup of white wine, and 6 hours.

    20211120_171017.jpg
Absolutely guaranteed to put your systems right. Yall stay safe this holiday season alright? :)

Rowing machine? Are you getting ready for the Concept 2 Holiday Challenge? I am. I think this is my 21st year of doing the challenge.
    https://log.concept2.com/challenges/holiday

Always enjoy your recipes. Look a lot like my daily feed. Except I just use an Instant Pot and salt pepper garlic (SPG).

I have never heard of this challenge.. but I will do that mileage in 9 days. On average I put in 10 miles at the gym plus around 1100 reps on the weights at least 4 times a week. At home I do around 5 miles and 1000 reps keeping me near to a 7 days a week routine average. Gotta hold on to the girly figure right? ;)

this cooking thing is an obsession. I started just for fun and now…it’s outa control yeah. :D

20+ks a day is a lot of rowing. You should do the challenge.

Did you sign up for the holiday challenge? I'd get a kick out of your mileage since it is way more than I do. I just passed 100k today, 10k a day for me.

And a picture of my red dog in keeping with the thread:

    Here's my post..
I didn't sign up, I'm terrible at getting entries in correctly. My last 3 sessions were 12.5 miles, 13.37 ish...and 11.8 I think. I don't think about it much, She says it's outrageous but it doesn't seem that way to me.
Like that dog BTW. Mine is a 68 lb lap snuggle. Thinks he's a soft fuzzy duck or something.

Let’s try this. It was too nice to stay inside, the “Feastamus Maximus”.

I learned a new technique for tender meatballs watching Marion Grasby’s channel one night, that called for a round of
Sopa de Albondigas…Honduran Meatball Soup. Decided it would be a good time to get a feel for the little White River now riding in my pocket. :)

Soup for 2. This is it…

this SV stuff is pretty good. I’ve tried leaving potatoes on it, tomatoes, even a soak in vinegar…nothing. A few scratches is all I’ve managed.

It’s eating time my friends, you probably won’t need the knife for this though. ( trick worked, meatballs are super tender and flavorful. ;) )

Having been duly elected, appointed, and anointed as head cook to the Brown Water River Rats… (and just like rats their numbers keep growing! ;) ) the wormy lot dug into their collective coin purses and showed up with this…

because apparently my current pans are not big enough…

And this is the only thing I’ve got that’s suited for a seasoning session.
