I'm really happy with how closely it matches the shape of the Zancudo. And it's going to be a REALLY hard choice picking whether to carry it or my CR2.5....

I really like the JouFuu sheath for my Xancudo. Been carrying it all weekend and put it to work doing electrical work in the living room yesterday.

Today I got after it with a strop and got it shaving sharp.

Probably the most underrated knife in Esee lineup!!
    Awesome leather by the way!

It is definitely a nice little blade. The one I have is getting taken away more and more now.

I have both at home. Can snap a couple of pictures after work if you're still looking for them.

I just wanted to praise the edge that came on this knife! It's the sharpest Esee I've seen! And overall a great blade. 16174918445681695297326653104971.jpg 16174918888351883015306733216190.jpg

It's all that and then some. This is some of the highest performing S35VN that I've ever used insofar as edge retention and ease of sharpening. Can't wait for the CR3.0 to drop! (and the 3HM, and the JG3.....)

True that! I agree, I've got other s35vn as well and I don't know what makes Esee so different but it is. And by that I mean better! Maybe Rowen heat treat I reckon. Idk? But yeah it's BA!

I commissioned Blackbear CustomKydex to make them and the sheath. You can find him on FB

The Xancudo is what I always wanted the Izula to be - blade a little longer, a little thinner, and a fuller grip (the Izula II fixed that part). A real home run on a design in my book.

How does the grip length of the Xancudo compare to the Izula II?

I'm thinking I like the blade shape for an EDC general purpose knife.

Technically it’s longer, but due to the shape/ index finger groove they really have about the same useable grip.

Thanks for the info and pics!

I've got one on the way. The Izula type sheath was just enough to send me over the edge. It is just so versatile and modifiable.

Looking forward to giving the little knife a try and seeing how the new steel behaves.

Is it just me or does anyone else see a Kephart-ish blade shape?
