I like that a lot. Probably won't like the price tag.

The Lr4 was the last semi-decent Rover made in my opinion. The new Defender is an over-priced yuppie toy mobile. Discos pretty much sucked and the Range Rovers I've had were simply horrible at keeping anything working.

Can you imagine a Camel Trophy with Toyota? You could carry a lot less spare parts and mechanics than doing it with Land Rovers.

    Camel Trophy 2020

Vape enough to earn Bitcoins that you can use to outfit your Evoque with a RTT and drone for a long weekend "overlanding"...

Semi seriously though, I'd love to do something like the old Camel Trophy stuff. Trucks, maps, lots of coffee and no support or electronics. No vehicle newer than 1979. You make it or we'll eventually send someone to maybe looK for you.

.....sounds like my teenage years here in tTe 80s !!! I really do miss those times. As teenagers we jumped in a truck, hooked up a boat and took off to the Northern Territory here.... in the 80s it really was still the wild west there. Got shot at, chased by Crocs, hunted Asiatic Buffalo and big boar through the tropics...fixed vehicle problems (including one huge one of my mate's making !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ) and met interesting and unusual people. No phones, no GPS, no help, no one cared....LOVED IT ALL.
