I'd go with a Grom over a Rukus too.

I have friends with GROMs. One guy lives and works in Chattanooga and it's his only vehicle.

My issue with GROMs is that if I'm going to go with something over 50cc it's likely going to be a Honda 250L Rally.

The Ruckus would be just a toy, pretty much, on the very small chance that I decided to get one. Throw it on the hitch rack and explore beach towns, slow back roads, FS roads when I don't want to take the mountain bike, etc.

the advantage i see with the ruckus is it's a scooter so pretty much anyone who knows how to ride a bike should be able to ride it rather quickly. i think it doesn't even need a motorcycle license just a driver's license?

I've toyed with the idea of getting a GROM since they came out, but for just $1,500 or so more, I'd rather have the CRF 250L.

for just a few more dollars i'd rather have a suzuki drz400sm...then for a few more dollars a husqvarna 701 supermoto...that's a slippery slope! i'm staying away from this conversation before i impulse buy something haha.

I don't think I would be happy with a 250, it would be just big enough that I would take it on the highway and then be disappointed when I couldn't outrun traffic.

Yeah same. Mine is a 450 and the reason I didn’t go with the 701 is the weight. Mine is 226lb so over 120lb less weight. And man does it make a difference I can toss it around and it flys

That's light for a electric start 4 stroke. I think my old cr250r is just under 220.
