Sounds like a band that's playing this Friday at the local brewery.

I don’t need more of an excuse than I hate most people.

I think the most interesting part of what may come is getting ready for potential quarantines. In my case there are some professional adjustments that have to get made. Permitting staff to work remotely, supporting the larger organization increasing from about 7K remote users daily to 3 times that number. We have capacity built in but it still comes with challenges.

Personally, we live in a first ring suburb and if we didn't already practice the LDS self reliance principles, I would be stocking up on some essentials in case it became a hassle to get to the stores but to be honest, you're going to have to go anyhow to get milk, fruits, etc...

What concerns the heck out of me is seeing first hand how some medical personal act with infectious pathogens.

If someone tells you that you need to take certain reasonable precautions you probably should...

That’s all I am going to say..

I also did a little recap on my previous calculations...

The CDC reported that in 2019 there was a estimated 1 fatality per 1,829 Cases of the seasonal flu. That’s about 8,200 fatalities from 15,000,000 estimated cases. That’s means about 1 in 22 of the US population had the flu this 2019-20 flu season

With the most recent numbers I have seen the fatality rate is now as high as 1 fatality per 29 cases... Last time I calculated it was 1 in 45.5 fatality

If We use the cdc numbers of 15,000,000 cases of seasonal flu.. we could see as high as 517,241 possible fatality’s If it was to go wide spread in the US population..

Hummm so me and my family at this kid infested boogers and spit everywhere every kid sneezing 3 days at great wolf lodge was a bad idea?! Hahahaha.
Wouldn’t change a thing. We are a very healthy and fit family. We only wash our hands after the bathroom and when dirty. I try to not let my kid lick the shopping but he’s a little **** and does it anyway.....
Some kid took a dump wile in one of the pools today and they had to shut it down for 30 min.

I'm mainly concerned with people panic buying and emptying out the stores. Simple solution is to have things already on hand to cover a few weeks.

I haven’t done any preparing for anything. If it does hit hard in the US, I plan to eat three meals per day at the local Chinese restaurant.

I think I’m going to grab a little bit extra this weekend at the grocery store.

Nothing crazy, but slowly work up some extras before everyone completely freaks out.

I'm stocking up on Jagermeister. I started getting a scratchy throat yesterday so I drank about half a bottle last night, I feel better today. I'll have to see how today goes to decided if I need a follow up treatment tonight.

Does no one else just turn there faucet on for water.....that’s what I do I mean I guess if times get real bad I have to hand wells out front also.
I haven’t purchased water bottles in years I use my hydro flasks.
As for keeping a stock pile of food. Dam that’s nearly impossible when you have two kids. One of them can’t eat dairy or gluten it’s a pain in the ass. I mean I have enough food I can live on for a few weeks. We literally go to the grocery store Avery other day it stinks.
