Available for immediate purchase is this SAFE System II Kodiak Edition! Sam just completed this one and it is a special variant of the SSII. Featuring a 6" long blade of cryogeniclly treated 440C stainless steel hardened to 59 HRC, it is made from 3/16" thick stock to minimize weight and maximize cutting aggression. The blade is ground to SLICE! This blade features a fully functional sawback, and hand rubbed satin highlights to contrast with the blasted finish. The stainless steel handle is knurled underneath the cord wrap. The aluminum buttcap is light weight and features a stainless steel plate on the end (see closeup) to facilitate hammering/striking with the knife. The buttcap is also threaded to receive the entire line of S.A.F.E. accessories, and includes a ferro rod. There is also a bow drill divot machined into the cap, should you choose/need to use primitive fire building methods. The leather sheath is custom made to fit this knife, and features a pouch on the front to hold a tin where you may put additional survival supplies. The belt loop is secured by a Lift-the-Dot snap, so removing your belt is not necessary to put the sheath on. The retention tab is tethered by shock cord, so that upon deploying the tab, it is pulled clear of the edge and will not be cut. Part of the Kodiak Edition is the PSK knife (made of 440C SS and blasted to match the primary blade) which is housed in a compartment immediately behind the pouch on the sheath. It has a friction fit, but also has a shock cord loop that fits over the flap of the pouch, making it impossible for the PSK knife to accidentally fall out or be lost. Price: $675 + shipping. International orders welcome. First "I'll take it!" gets it. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thanks for looking! Sam
