Me personally both. The scales are fantastic. As I said before, I love Dale's contoured scales at Tkc, but just can't warm up to g10. The micarta option is going to be a home run for me. As for the steel, durable, rust resistant steels with good edge retention will be huge sellers. Especially in the larger knife lineup. I'm looking forward to seeing this come to fruition.

S35 and contoured micarta sounds pretty sweet. Don't forget to invite the HMs to that party.

Not a fan of the HM series but an esee 4 1/8th inch thick would be nice

I like the S35v and such as I own a whole bunch of folders in it. But what’s wrong with the current 1095 carbon steel?

I say the 3d handles first. One of the biggest selling points for ESEE knives is the affordability with such an amazing warranty. Specialty stainless steels will jack up the price considerably and will only target a small market. The 3d handles however are already a demand that is taking people away from esee to fulfill their needs. Dont get me wrong, I love TKC and Dale but from a marketing perspective, ESEE customers shouldnt be going elsewhere for upgrades if it can be provided within the company. I dont have an issue with the stock handles but clearly a ton of people do if TKC is that successful...Whether the knives come stock with the 3d handles, they are an option
to choose from for free (flat scales, 3d scales, g10, micarta, etc..) or they are an upgrade that costs a bit more, at least it gives customers the option to "customize" their blade during that original purchase ... thats just my two pennies

If choosing one or the other, I say go with the contoured handles. Not big on S35VN for this application, personally, and I'd be more inclined to vote for AEBL, 14C28N, or CPM-154 if going with a stainless option since they're way tougher, even at fairly high hardness.
