Why I don't like the usps.. When I lived in Missouri it took no more than 4 days to get an order from TKC. Now that I live in Michigan I'm less than a 2 hour drive from tkc yet its been 4 days and I haven't received the package yet. It still says "accepted" on the usps site. Ugh.

This is a first. So I called the usps about my tkc order and they said they haven't received the package themselves even though it was marked shipped on the 18th. Ugh. This isn't for me, it's for a knife job...

I know it just frustrates me lol. I got a hold of Ethan for him to check and I know they mailed it. They've never let me down at TKC.

On a good note and for the first time in probably a decade, I'm under 300 lbs! I weighed in at 289! My doctor will be happy..

Well there wasn't a sharp knife in the house so I had to improvise. It did ok. 20191128_111233.jpg

Has anyone ever used regular liquid paint stripper to strip the coating? I've always used the spray but funds are low.

    @Drew RedBear
If I remember correctly it does work but leaves a little extra(almost residue like) that has to be sanded or buffed off.

That's fine with me, I'll be sanding it anyway. Thanks

If all goes well this week ( Big time fingers crossed) I should be moving far from the beach In late spring :) (I hate the beach, I hate sand mostly)

If it all works out that will mean a almost month long 5000 mile loop / road trip will required ( Very complicated reasons but def neccasery )

This could be a very interesting next 9 or so months :)

Thanks! I'm excited! There are a couple of things that need to fall into place for it all to work BUT it will be the first time in at least 15 years that me or the wifey got to live where we wanted to.
BUT most importantly! NO SAND :) I've lived a few blocks from the beach for almost 4 years and i can count on 2 hands how many times i've "been to the beach" in that time.

I like the beach for about a week, once a year or so. Every few years is better. If I have access to a boat and the beach is private or remote then my enjoyment level goes up a lot.
Give me the Outer Banks in crappy weather or some random empty gulf beach accessible only by boat and I become a beach fan pretty quickly. For about a week.

Congrats on the possible change. Life is too short to live where you don't want to and do things you don't like.

I had to put out 3 round bales of hay this evening for my gf. She asked me if I had a knife to cut the wrap off and it reminded me of this place. I told her nope, I just sharpened my SAK in my pocket and I didn't feel like dulling it on hay bales.

Back in the day, around 20 years ago Popeyes had a really good chicken sandwich. They also had a chicken strip po-boy at one time that was good as well.

Heck I read today that McDonald’s is market testing a fried chicken sandwich in 2 big city’s until the end of January! IDK but I sure would love to try one!

Didn’t McDonalds have a ‘southern style’ chicken sandwich not that long ago?

@OKcherokee I think I remember something like that but it wasn’t fried if I remember correctly. The ones their testing are near identical to the other 2 big names in chicken sandwiches :)

Looks like one of the last BIG hurdles to the big move fell this morning :)
It won’t be until the summer, and I’m going to let a thread with photos tell the story :)
