I started adding a bit of grip to the scales. Definitely not pretty, but works awesome. I painted it black too, but it did not turned out black enough I will do the other scale tomorrow, as I had wood to split I am aiming for TKC extended scales, so I decided to try my hand at the current ones.
I’m new here and I’m new to ESEE Knives..I’ve wanted one for years but a couple weeks ago I finally broke down and ordered my first ESEE knife, which was the ESEE Junglas.I fell in love with it,it feels great in my hand, extremely well balanced. The fit and finish couldn’t possibly be better, everything is nice and flush.it came straight out of the box razor sharp.I love the micarta scales and the factory kydex sheath is great and the molle backing is a huge plus..I was so happy with my Junglas I immediately ordered an ESEE 4 which was every bit as impressive to me as the Junglas...next up will either be an Izula,Izula 2 or a Candiru, these knives are truly the total package.its nice to buy a new knife and not have to about replacing scales or replacing the sheath..I couldn’t tell you how many times I’ve bought a new Ka-Bar Becker knife and immediately replaced the scales or bought a new knife from Ontario or TOPS and immediately replaced the sheath..I would rather buy the total package from the beginning and to me,this is exactly what ESEE offers
This post is the first time I have ever seen the red ESEE knives..I hope they bring them back in the future...I would gladly order another Junglas and 4 in red with black scales..I would also buy a red 6,3 and an Izula or Candiru in red..they are absolutely beautiful...with that being said, this is a great thread,so many beautiful ESEE 4s,I love seeing what others do to personalize their knives
Nice,I already have an ESEE 4 but I’m thinking about adding an 4HM to my collection in the not too distant future
They do have the Izula in “fire ant red” and it is awesome. The red 4’s were a group buy- only 50 of them exist, but I agree, I’d love to see more red in the lineup.
