    This class has motivated me to try and wrap up a project I started over a year ago. It is the “Old Hickory Kephart bush craft mod” that you can find online. As is it could def be a fun knife to tryout at class but I’m going to try and get a couple more adjustments done. One of the luckiest accidents with it is even thou I started and made the intended shape before i owned a PR4 . It is similar enough in shape and size to fit my Modified PR4 sheath( added thickness for TKC scales)

    I’ll look into locating some firewood. There is a large yard Maintaince business about a block from me so I will see if they have anything lying around. Otherwise I should also be able to get some scrap construction wood near by. Worse case scenario I KNOW I can get wooden pallets that I can break down and bring scraps from. But I’ll let folks know closer to class.

    I am stoked, I noticed @Jeff Randall said we need to bring wood, I want to ask those who are going of I find someone that will deliver wood to the farm if you want to go in on it. I found a local guy but need to verify he will deliver to the farm and before Bushcraft.

    @mtngoat
    Let me know what you find out and I will see what I can pitch in.
    I also am trying to snag some wood locally to me but I haven’t had time to get by the place. So I may still be able to.

    I just talked to a local guy said he is currently out but will see if he can get some before the 11th. Said it’s $75 a truckload delivered, I’ll keep you posted if he calls me back. @Patrick Rollins or @shaneadams90 if he can deliver it where do you want it?

    The way it's looking we may be under a statewide outdoor burning ban when the class rolls around. If we are, then there will be no campfires and we will have to practice firemaking with very small fires and immediately put them out.

    Just know if Alabama declares a burn ban there will be no fires of any kind at bushcraft. We have no way around it, so cooking over a fire won't happen, nor will sitting around a campfire. The most we will be able to do on firemaking is get flame and immediately extinguish it. Sorry guys, but that's the way it will be if they declare a burn ban.

    We will keep our fingers crossed...
    Otherwise we can "simulate" a campfire with a nicely built fire TP and glow sticks tossed in for mood lighting :) (Dont laugh... I have heard of people doing it ...)

    I have a lantern we can put sticks around and pretend it’s a fire, and incase the charcoal smoker is off limits as well I am bringing a small gas grill and 2 burner camp stove.

    Lava lamp, B-Fat and wool blanket for psychological impact is the solution you seek.

    The fire issue may put a hiccup in my current food planning so I’ll hold of on buying any over fire food until the day before.
    Otherwise my plan as of now is to pre make sandwiches for food during class. I’ll freeze them so they just thaw out during class.
    I also considered doing the same thing for breakfast and and just throwing them on a gas stove to reheat before class. Reheated pancakes are always a good breakfast choice IMO :) Or premade breakfast panini is also a good choice.

    Were bringing colemon stove and griddle,we like to eat good so we plan to cook most meals.
    Any idea on start,finish and lunch time during class,that will determine what we cook as well.
    How about a bloody mary at night,is that ok?
