whoa! fresh jack fruit or canned? makes a big difference...it's one of my favorite fruits growing up in the philippines.

we even make it with turon...jack fruit & ripe plantain rolled in brown sugar then wrapped in spring roll wrapper and the whole thing is deep fried as a snack/dessert.

hmm...i just lost my benchmade adamas (clipped on my left pocket). i've had a few beers but not even buzzed yet. don't care about the value of the knife as much as the fact that i lost it...did someone picked my pocket? no idea but that bothers me a lot that i wasn't paying enough attention to my surroundings to let it happen.

must've happened when "i like big butts" was playing and i was bumping and grinding on the dance floor...i don't even like big butts damn.

hmm...sure it wasn't durian? never had it but they look very similar inside and out but different fruits...from youtube durian looks to be mushy when ripe.

jack fruit should taste like a cross between a ripe banana and ripe mango with a springy texture like al dente pasta (bordering on rubberband-like springy texture).

either way, anything rolled in brown sugar, wrapped in spring roll and deep fried should be tasty!

Well it was at least being sold as jack fruit. I wasn’t home when she cut it up. So it is unclear what happened but when I got home there was a bowl of mush... Good news at-least is she said never again! And has agreed to buy pre sliced next time.

Took the kids to Cedar Point on Friday and Saturday. It was their first time there (and my first time in 25yrs) and they loved it. The boys went on a few of the smaller coasters (Gemini, Iron Dragon,Blue Streak) while my daughter and I went on the more relaxing rides like the bumper cars and the carousel (even that makes me sick).
The most thrilling ride there is the Top Thrill Dragster...its a 17second ride that covers nearly a half mile. Using magnetics you are rocketed from 0 to 120mph in 3.8 seconds then you climb at 90° up to 420ft and twist as you go back down... No one in my family even considered riding it LOL.
Heres a few short vids of it.

It's very similar but of course Cedar Point has to make theirs bigger and faster...but Mr Frreze looks like it goes backwards and possibly upside down...looks pretty cool....wish I liked roller coasters lol
