Try a small piece of PVC pipe. It gets soft and pliable with a little heat from a heat gun or hold it over a grill. It will burn if your not careful. I did this with a different knife that came with a crappy sheath. Spray paint sticks to it too. But that leather sheath is sweeter!
@Strigidae Who made your sheath? Would you mind snapping a photo sheathed with possibly a size comparison? I am still looking for a narrow sheath for neck carry.
@Strigidae I tried emailing 7 rattles to get one made but haven’t heard anything back yet. He has one “ready to buy” and I don’t really mind the color but it’s not the true “Necker” style.
I got one from him off eBay, here is another option https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/133163895916
Due to time constraint and to save some money. I decided to go a little extreme and repurpose a sheath I could not find a good use for (Holes did not line up on anything..) Because of the previous hole alignment it would hang angled and weird.. SO I enlarged 1 of the holes and added a additional hole at the same level. It now hangs nice and straight and by adding a screw in each hole (previously had only 5 of 8 holes with screws) it has much better and adjustable retention. One thing I discovered when drilling was the smaller spacer piece between the outsides had broken in 1 place. So It is sharp inside 1 of the holes.. So I’ll be adding something like shrink tubing or a small thread wrap to either hole. Overall thou i am happy with how it turned out.
I have an extra kydex necker sheath for my 2.5, if you want it I will bring it to Bushcraft for you. it is OD green if that matters
Because owning a knife isnt always about survival shelters and feather sticks. Sometimes its about cutting bacon on a fillet at a campground. Edit: Thats a dog hair on my fork... awesome.
@Strigidae Don’t worry! I got a different less flashy sheath in the mail yesterday It also hangs a lot nicer from a lanyard.
