Chicken and shrimp kabobs. I never cook in small batches....Go big or go home. My gang of cutthroats was eating them as fast as they came off the grill. I barely managed to get a pic at all.
your next challenge is a classic Hot Pot........ Potjie full of oil, filled with about 5lbs or more sezchuan chilies, peppercorns, thai chilies and left to boil. add thin strips of meat to cook.
You and these lady pirates I live with must be on the same wavelength. #2 daughter just asked if I would do Asian potsticker pork dumpling in Thai chili oil. I was over on Amazon adding more kitchen tools to my cart.
Reverse seared a bunch of prime grade beef tonight.. tri-tip, a NY strip (not pictured), ribeye, and a filet for the wife.
Fancy tonight.. Lol. Two Parmesan crusted grilled cheeses, one Swiss one sharp cheddar with a Parmesan cheese twill..
I typically use butter on the outside of the bread before I cook, but I’ve heard that mayo makes a really crispy outer crust. Haven’t tried it yet.
I butter it then put the cheese on the outside. I usually use garlic powder also but I'm out. I don't like mayo so I haven't tried that either.
God I miss Cuban sandwiches. Nowhere in this damn state has an authentic Cuban sandwich. Every place I go to has some abomination that looks more like an Italian sub. I need to get down to my old stomping grounds and eat like a king for a week.
Mayo on the outside of grilled cheeses is quite tasty. It gives it a slightly sweet flavor,in my opinion. The best and certainly least healthy way of doing it is slathering it with bacon grease
