I've really not used it enough yet to comment on the steel. It's been a busy couple of weeks, with little time for knife use.
Opened some boxes, shortened some hoses, prepped some food and cut a couple of water bottles in half for various uses. That's about it. As with most Spydercos, it came very sharp and is still very sharp.

Squirrel season opened this week and im going fishing a couple of evenings next week so hopefully it'll get a bit more varied use soon.

The only time I've opened it today was to get some jalapeños ready for tacos.

The steel aside, I'm really liking the knife (and clip). Would it better minus the choil? Yes. Would I mind if both the blade and handle were just a little longer? No, but it's a nice little package. I have no regrets with the purchase and look forward to using it a lot.

Same here. I expected to toss it in a kit somewhere and forget about it, but I replaced my Streamlight Microstream with it.

I did similar. It's got a permanent place on my keys now.

I believe this is the model I3 Eos?
If yes - it is indeed bright for its size and battery. I gave one to my parents and wife, to carry it on their keys and it is a great little light.

I got my free Olight from B&H Photo when I ordered another flashlight earlier this year. It's been a nice little extra light.

I would run them with Eneloops as the alkaline AAA seem to be prone to leaking.

Usually it’s a SAK Forester M or a Spyderco Tenacious. I used the Forester to cut some pizza last weekend - my friends were moving and they had all the knives packed away. The large stainless blade was perfect.

My favorite locking blade is a Benchmade mini-grip with spidey hole. The Benchmade isn’t so frightening if I use it to open some donuts at work, but the Tenacious is a bit much and the Forester is kind of a moose to carry. I’d like to try a smallish SAK paired with the mini-grip or a small fixed blade.

The CRKT M16 turned out to be a pretty neat EDC blade for urban carry, where I do not do a lot of cutting.
I removed the tanto of it so I can sharpen it easily :D
I was expecting the steel to be very soft, but it is actually OK - like good Aus8.

The edge bevel is wider at the tip portion of the blade, as it is flat ground and the rest is hollow, due to the tanto tip the edge had different thickness.
